IDENTITYBASE S.R.L. is the owner of patent n.102017000043957 “System and method of personal identification by means of two-dimensional and three-dimensional palatal scans” classification G06K.
This patent was born from an intuition of Dr. Andrea Pacifici, PhD at the University of Rome La Sapienza and Prof. Dr. Luciano Pacifici, full professor at the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry of the same University, later to a careful observational study of pairs of homozygous twins.
The similarity of these twins is such that it is generally difficult to distinguish them.
Being specialists in odontostomatology, the two researchers focused more on the study of the equalities / inequalities of the dental arches with particular attention to “palatine wrinkles”.
An ad hoc company was set up, Identitybase srl which made use of the law firm Bonelli Erede Pappalardo of Milan and the primary company Modiano Brevetti, also of Milan for the processing and filing on 21/04/2017 of all the documentation to the Patent and Trademark Office (UIBM), which on 29/11/2019 issued the patent certificate for the industrial invention.
The algorithm resident in the patent guarantees 100% success in the cases studied.
To date, Identitybase with a great deal of commitment is ready, always in beta-test version, for presentation to any public or private subjects interested in the patent that collects the uniqueness of being able to identify / identify with certainty even two homozygous twins.
Our patent describes the methodologies for identifying an individual by comparing the entire scan of the palate without human interaction, except the definition of the area itself.
The traditional (manual) methodology extracted and compared only the single palatine wrinkles, while our algorithm defines an innovative methodology, totally digitized, which guarantees us to be able to compare the entire palate in a very short time, this includes but is not limited or focused on palatine wrinkles.
Thanks to this mode, our solution guarantees the recognition of a fingerprint within a database of important dimensions in a very short time.
Alternative systems of recognition of the individual with criticality:
FINGERPRINT
It can be modified (erased) with acids or abrasions.
IRIS SCAN
It can be changed by inserting a contact lens.
FACIAL SCAN
It can be modified both surgically and by inserting prostheses inside the oral cavity, so as to modify the facial parameters.
The Identitybase system cannot be modified without creating very serious damage to the individual (intervention of the palate, an operation that leaves an irreversible impairment to the individual, creating many structural problems within the oral cavity).
Therefore we affirm with extreme certainty the reliability of our individual recognition system, all supported by scientific articles published in important international journals. On a sampling of a thousand individuals, the system is able to recognize pairs of homozygous twins.
The patent can be used not only on humans, but also on animals (dogs, cats).
As everyone knows, dogs are equipped with a microchip or tattoo.
The microchips in turn are removed very easily and the tattoos removed.
With our system, dog recognition cannot be altered in any way.
